John “Top” Holland was announced
as VietNow’s Veteran of the Year
for 2008 at the National Vietnam & Gulf
War Veterans Coalition’s
annual Leadership Breakfast.
Top began his
military career at a very young age, serving
in World War II. Top’s
service to our country also included tours
of duty in the Korean War and the Vietnam
War.
Having always been a soldier’s
soldier, Top’s retirement from the
military did not mean he was going to quit
caring for his fellow veterans. Top has
made a life-long commitment to help veterans,
especially those who were left behind as
POWs from the Vietnam War.
John “Top” Holland
truly examplifies VietNow’s motto, “Veterans
Helping Veterans.”
